hi. i’m sharon.

i am an artist, a mom, a bare-footed-as-much-as-possible, wool-sock-loving human. i am a longtime painter, and this illustrating part is new, and delightful, and inspired by reading with my daughter and the incredible artist-illustrators who have come before me.

i have spent thousands of hours under the sea. once i was saved by a pod of dolphins, once i was surrounded by a school of hammerheads, and once i called a whale to me by singing to it. i ride my grandfather’s old bike or i drive his old car pretty much every day, and (according to one passerby) i look like a stork when i surf. i currently live and love in portland, maine, with my partner, our kid, 2 cats and 2 guinea pigs.
