do i have to be an artist to take this course?

no, but it is important that there is something tangible that you are bringing into form, and there should be an element of unknown in your process and results. a creative practice is a space cultivated and protected for the act of creating, but you don’t have to be creating art, per se; the creative practices are the same no matter what you want to make: show up, get quiet, clear stuff out of the way, listen, and go when it feels right. go sometimes when it doesn’t feel right, too, but we can work that out together. you could be a writer, a sculptor, a knitter, an inventor, a course creator. someone who is making change, doing things differently, and going deeper.

if it feels like this is a good fit for you, it probably is, but if you are not sure, let’s talk about it.

why you? why this?

i believe in the power of community and the ability we all have to walk each other home. you can think of this as group support for artists: a powerful tool for building momentum and finding inspiration when it is lost.

can i get my money back if i don’t like it?

yes. if you read all this, and it feels right to you, and you sign up and it misses the mark, yes, of course.

but it won’t. we will talk about you and your process at each session, and we will talk about different ways out and around, and we will hold you and each other accountable for making some movement forward. sometimes the movement is slight, and can be celebrated. and sometimes the movement is immense, and that, too, will be celebrated.
